Izzy’s 2011 Book Recommendations

This is a listing of the books that I have read so far in 2011 and a ranking out of ten summarising what I made of them. My other blog, www.izzyreads.com is where you will find some more comments on each title. Mostly, I read fiction but I do sometimes stray into other areas. As a 53 year old female I have been feeling a bit revolutionary Izzy (has that anything to do with being peri-menopausal?) and re-read many of Orwell’s wonderful books this year (2011): Burmese Days; The Clergyman’s Daughter; Down & Out in Paris & London; The Road to Wigan Pier & 1984. They were truly sublime; in particular the first 2 and the final one.
