Trainer Heels Revisited

Despite a couple of purchases, progresss on the trainer heel front has remained relatively slow since my 50th birthday. Yes, the Hush Puppies proved wearable for days at a time but, with a brisk walk on the agenda first thing in the morning and last thing at night, the flats gradually crept back in until I have ended up wearing them day in and day out for the last month. All that changed today when I climbed into the 3 inch heels of my new ankle boots and headed out for a morning’s shopping. I am pleased to report that the expedition was without incident. In fact, it was pleasantly thrilling to walk taller for a couple of hours and provided nobody asked me to run anywhere, this may be something I can repeat before too long. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if this turned out to be the first step on the journey forward to Jimmy Choo? With a little persistence I may get there for my 60th.

  • Brava to you for daring 3-inch heels! I’ve been in flats so long I can barely stand the teensy, tiny 1-inch variety for more than an hour or two.
I’m sure you looked great “walking tall” in your new boots and, who knows, Jimmy Choo might be licking his chops in anticipation that you’ll be his newest big-spending customer!
