Sexing Up That Cholesterol Lowering Drink

Somehow those little cartons of cholesterol lowering drinks tend to sit unopened on the top shelf of my fridge. It is not that I don’t like the taste. Really, I don’t mind them. I guess it’s just I haven’t yet found a way of incorporating them into my daily routine. I know I need to drink them and that is why I keep buying them but, if I’m honest, I throw out more than I ever swallow.

But, now, thankfully I’ve found a way of incorporating them into a smoothie that tastes good and is quick and easy to throw together. Here’s how you do it:

Juice of your choice (I like cranberry or raspberry)
Handful of frozen or fresh berries of your choice (I like raspberries)
1 carton cholesterol lowering drink like Benecol light or Tesco’s Healthy Living Cholesterol Reducing Yogurt Drink
Half a banana
2 ice cubes

Whiz in blender and decant.
Enjoy.
